Dog in the Mad River Valley

Dogs seem to be welcome almost everywhere in the Valley. You walk by almost any store and you’ll see a water bowl outside for your 4-legged buddy.  There are places request that dogs are leashed. We’ve found that unless your dogs are a nuisance no one minds too much if they run free.

Swimming Holes

If your dogs love the water, a dip in the river would be the place to be on a warm day.

Blueberry Lake

Blueberry Lake is great during every season. It’s a short 10min drive from the house over to Warren, VT.

As you drive up Plunkton Road you’ll see the the brown signs for the beach. Keep driving past and you’ll see a parking on your left. You can access the pond from that parking lot or cross the street to a great network of trails. The trails are very well marked and well-groomed. Keep in mind that these are primarily mountain biking trails.
